Angela R.
Angela began her nursing journey at Darton College, where she earned an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from South University. She further pursued her passion for healthcare by obtaining a Doctorate in Nursing from Augusta University, demonstrating her deep commitment to advancing both her expertise and the nursing profession.
At the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, Angela works in the pediatric hematology/oncology department, an area of nursing that deeply resonates with her. “The children I work with show me incredible resilience,” she says. “If they can endure what they do, then I know I can get through anything.” This perspective fuels Angela’s passion for pediatric care, especially when caring for young patients facing life-threatening conditions.
Being a part of the night nursing team allows Angela to focus on supporting parents who are often weary from long nights of caregiving. “I know what it feels like to be so exhausted that you can’t function,” Angela explains. “By helping parents get the rest they need, I know they’re able to be their best selves and offer the best care to their children.”
Outside of work, Angela enjoys reading, watching TV, and spending quality time with family and friends.
